Tinpot is our loving nickname for the small village of Tintaldra, located between Towong and Walwa. It is said to the be the first pioneer settlement of the Upper Murray, located on the banks of the fast flowing Murray River. It has a quaint and cute little general store, and a beautiful pub that provides great meals, and cold, refreshing ales.
Just off the bridge in the middle of the river is a salute to the Giant Murray Cod, a sculpture of the fish it pays tribute to. It’s just one of the 5 giant sculptures in the Upper Murray Region.
