In 1834 a stockman by the name of John Bowman discovered the Yarrangobilly Cave complex, and it is estimated to be over 440 million years old. They are in the northern end of the Kosciuszko National Park, and also includes a thermal pool, fed by natural springs.

Yarrangobilly provides the attraction of not only the cave system to explore, but plenty of walking tracks, fishing spots, and starry nights to enjoy a good piece of rubbed steak cooked on an open campfire, with your favourite vegies or salad.
